Whitbread shareholders asked to vote on Pizza Hut sale

Whitbread has called shareholders to a meeting to vote on whether the company should sell its 50% share in Pizza Hut UK.

Circulars were posted on 16 August convening a meeting on 4 September to approve the proposed sale.

Whitbread announced it had entered into a conditional deal with Yum! Restaurant Holdings on 31 July.
