Brothers Pub Co seek investment to launch 'social pub' concept
Josh, Jack and Ellis Fitzgerald are seeking investment of £220,000 to launch an experiential pub concept in Northampton, with plans to open further sites thereafter.
Under the banner Brothers Pub Co, the trio are seeking investment and their first site for a concept offering games such as shuffleboard and skittles, cocktails and British tapas, inspired by experiential venues such as Flight Club and Electric Shuffle.
Josh said: "We realised in Northampton that there were only places to eat and drink; there's nothing that fills the gap of actually being able to do something or being together with people to enjoy experiences, such as gaming experiences.
"We believe there is a gap in the market. People do want something more than just a bar or a pub."
Jack, 24, will oversee the food, having worked as a chef de partie at the Corinthia hotel in London and set up his own chocolate company. Ellis, 22, will oversee drinks and currently works as a team supervisor with Starbucks. Josh has worked as a team leader for pub brands including Slug & Lettuce and Greene King, and currently runs a video production business while managing pubs in Cheltenham.
They hope to open five venues over a six- to seven-year period in places similar to Northampton – smaller towns with up-and-coming business hubs and student communities, such as Oxford and Leamington Spa, that don't necessarily have access to brands like Flight Club and the Alchemist, which are generally based in cities.
The brothers have launched a cocktail garnish box to raise funds and spread the word and have sold around 100 over the last week.
The business will support local, independent suppliers where possible and offer a £10 per hour minimum wage.
The plan is also to offset carbon emissions, use vintage and upcycled furniture, and offer a large vegan selection of food.
