Foodservice company Thomas Ridley wins City Pub Group contract
Suffolk foodservice supplier, Thomas Ridley, has won a new hospitality contract to supply City Pub Group outlets for an undisclosed sum.
Thomas Ridley will be servicing 37 out of City Pub Group's 43 establishments. With pubs, restaurants and hotels, the City Pub portfolio stretches across southern England and into Wales.
To service City Pub Groups, the family-run foodservice company has added 57 new lines, including Tofoo, a tofu company based in Yokshire, and is supporting with on-going menu development for the Group.
Natalie Edwards, group account controller at Thomas Ridley, said: "City Pub Group have a fantastic range of well-known sites, so we're really excited to be working with them."
Edwards added that the independent foodservice business is excited to be extending its delivery area. "We all look forward to working closely with the City Pub teams as their trusted supplier," she said.
Group executive chef Vincent Glouton of City Pub Group said: "Thomas Ridley have really impressed us, and we feel that our deliveries are in good hands. We needed Thomas Ridley to add quite a few new nominated lines for us across frozen, chilled, and ambient and they've turned everything around really quickly and efficiently, which is great."
City Pub Group's outlets include the Phene in Chelsea, London, the Waterman in Cambridge, and the Oyster House in Swansea Bay, on the south coast of Wales.
Part of the Caterfood Buying Group, Thomas Ridley supplies more than 2,000 customers across education, healthcare and hospitality. Its main depot is based in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, and is supported by a satellite depot in Kent for deliveries across London and the southeast.
