Salboy announced as JV partner to deliver phase two of Gary Neville's St Michael's development
Gary Neville's Relentless Developments has announced a partnership with property developer Salboy to deliver phase two of the St Michael's development in Manchester with building works expected to start in January 2023.
The second phase of the Manchester development will see work begin on the 191-bed hotel early next year. The 40-storey tower at St Michaels, designed by Hodder + Partners, will also feature 181 serviced residences, as well as leisure facilities and a food, drink and entertainment space in the square on the ground floor. Contractor Domis Construction has been bought on board to support the delivery of phase two which will also include the refurbishment of the Sir Ralph Abercromby public house. The entire development is expected to be completed in 2026.
The first phase of the development began in January 2022 and will comprise of 185,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation across nine floors, Japanese and Peruvian restaurant Chotto Matte will also open a 900-cover restaurant on the roof.
The scheme so far has created 1,800 jobs in the city and is expected to bring significant investment to Manchester.
