Education caterer Pabulum merges with CH&Co
School caterer Pabulum has merged with CH&Co and will join its education portfolio.
Pabulum is based in Fleet, Hampshire and operates in over 100 schools within a 125-mile radius of its office.
It has a turnover of £28.5m and employs over 800 people working in primary and secondary schools including multi-academy trusts and federations.
The business was named Education Caterer of the Year at the 2016 Foodservice Cateys and has a strong focus on nutrition.
Pabulum was privately owned and managing director Nelson Williams will continue to manage the business following the merger of the two companies.
"My team and I are absolutely thrilled to be merging with CH&Co, we have very similar values and I know they will be hugely supportive in growing both our Pabulum brand and the wonderful people that work for us," said Williams.
Bill Toner, chief executive officer of CH&Co, said: "The Pablulum business is a great addition to our education business and we look forward to making a difference in this important sector together.
"With our shared values, we're also excited about the opportunities this merger provides all team members and our partners."
It is the second merger to be announced by Royal Warrant holder CH&Co this month after it confirmed Blue Apple was joining its workplace division.
The Blue Apple merger was the first to be undertaken by CH&Co since Vacherin joined the business in February 2020.
