Lee Kelly appointed general manager of 45 Park Lane
Lee Kelly, hotel manager of London's Berkeley hotel, is to join the Dorchester Collection's 45 Park Lane as general manager on 1 August.
He will replace John Scanlon, who has moved to California to take up the role of general manager at the Dorchester Collection's Beverly Hills hotel. Scanlon held the position of general manager of the five-red-AA-star, 45-bedroom 45 Park Lane for seven years.
Prior to joining the Berkeley hotel two years ago, Kelly was general manager at the Monkey Island Estate in Bray, Berkshire.
After studying for a degree in hotel and catering management at the University of Surrey, Kelly undertook a number of food and beverage positions with Four Seasons Hotels in Singapore, Costa Rica and Miami before taking on the role of director of food and beverage at the Savoy in London.
Kelly said that he was looking forward "to leading 45 Park Lane into its next chapter where truly memorable experiences are created and where traditions are reinvented in a socially vibrant setting."
Christopher Cowdray, chief executive of the Dorchester Collection, added: "Lee is joining 45 Park Lane at an exciting time of the hotel's evolution since its opening in 2011.
"His skills in exceptional guest experience, service delivery, and product and people development will help enhance further the reputation of the hotel and its popular Cut restaurant in the Mayfair community and much further afield."
In his new role, Kelly will also be responsible for overseeing the 18 Mayfair Park Residences.
