Last chance to enter: Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2023
There is still time to enter Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2023, the awards that celebrate the top employers in the hospitality sector.
Run in partnership with Purple Cubed and sponsored by Umbrella Training, the Best Places to Work in Hospitality awards identify and showcase the top 30 operators who lead the way in people engagement and workplace culture.
Best Places to Work in Hospitality isn't just an accolade for the top operators in hospitality, it's an opportunity to better understand your staff's needs. Entrants will receive a comprehensive staff survey, devised by leading skills development consultancy Purple Cubed, which puts your employees' key values first.
The anonymous survey will help identify what really matters to your people and what you can do to facilitate employee engagement. The survey helps measure if internal changes have influenced employee satisfaction, raise your profile as one of the best employers in hospitality and provides invaluable insights on how to attract, engage and retain talented staff.
Victoria Freeman, director of people and training at foodservice caterer Thomas Franks, last year's winner had, this to say: "We found this a really useful process last year. It was a great opportunity to engage with our colleagues and hear their views. We have incorporated their feedback into our planning for this year."
All companies in the top 30 will also receive a free place at The Caterer's People Summit, and the top six entrants will be shortlisted for the Best Employer Catey 2023.
Deadline for entries: 25 January 2023
Last year the top six Best Places to Work in Hospitality were Aviator, Dakota Manchester, Genuine Dining, the Old Stocks Inn, Thomas Franks and Valor Hospitality, and the Catey for Best Employer 2022 was awarded to Thomas Franks.
The founder-led contract catering company, with more than 160 locations in business and industry, independent schools and the care sector, stood out as a family-focused employer.
More than three-quarters of respondents to the Best Places to Work in Hospitality survey gave a score of 10 for the question "I am proud to work here". One Thomas Franks employee told Purple Cubed: "Our large HR team provides access to support, personal development, counselling and employee assistance programme services. It's a company driven by its values and commitment to people, which I respect."
