Keith Warren to step down as Foodservice Equipment Association chief executive

Keith Warren is to step down as chief executive of the Foodservice Equipment Association (FEA) after 21 years leading the organisation.

Under Warren's leadership the FEA has grown to over 190 member companies, coving the breadth of the hospitality sector's £1.5b supply chain, including equipment manufacturers and importers, kitchen design houses, dealers and service companies.

He said that he leaves the association in "a strong financial position and we are giving the industry clear leadership".

Warren added: "It has been exciting to be part of the team involved in representing the industry and influencing government and authorities at every level. It's equally been a pleasure walking round a factory, seeing our members' equipment being manufactured and really getting to understand and help them with the challenges they face."

FEA chair Paul Anderson said that work would now start on recruiting a replacement, who would work alongside Warren for up to 12 months to facilitate a smooth transition.

He said: "This is an opportunity for a committed individual to shape the future of the foodservice equipment industry.

"FEA has many key channels of influence outside of its core role for UK businesses, including direct links to government, and influences the industry on a European and global scale.

"We are an open, friendly, and inclusive trade association with a committed and engaged membership. The new CE can draw on the significant engagement and support of our members as they get into their new role."
