Former Adams' head chef Keiron Stevens to join JM Socials
Keiron Stevens, the former head chef at one-Michelin-starred restaurant Adams in Birmingham, is to return to his home-town of Cheltenham to join JM Socials restaurant group.
He has been appointed to the newly created position of executive chef, overseeing the kitchen operations across five restaurants in Cheltenham and one in Oxford. At the start of his new role, Stevens will spend time enhancing and developing the Indian-inspired menu at Prithvi in Cheltenham, with the aim of achieving a Michelin star.
"There's massive scope to what we can do at the JM Socials restaurants," he said. "My main focus will be Prithvi to begin with, a fantastic restaurant in my hometown that's won many culinary hearts. I'm excited to push things forward here and work collaboratively with the team."
Prior to joining Adams, Stevens worked in San Francisco for a year as chef de partie at three-Michelin starred Benu, having spent the earlier part of his career at Pennyhill Park, Gidleigh Park and Le Champignon Sauvage.
JM Socials is owned by Jay Rahman and Michael Raphel and is made up of a mix of casual and more formal restaurants including Holee Cow, Holee Cowless, Holee Clucker, Prithvi, Bao + BBQ and Bhoomi Kitchen, all in Cheltenham, and a second Bhoomi Kitchen in Oxford.
