Jamie Oliver Restaurants secures first German restaurant partner

Jamie Oliver's international restaurant business is continuing to expand across Europe and will open in Germany this year.

Jamie Oliver Restaurants (JOR) has signed a franchise partnership with BMB Gruppe, which will launch a Jamie Oliver Kitchen in Berlin over the summer.

BMB Gruppe, which runs more than 30 hospitality outlets in the German capital, is the 14th franchise partner for the chef's international business.

JOR operates over 100 food outlets across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and South America under franchised brands including Jamie's Deli and Jamie Oliver's Pizzeria.

The chef's Jamie's Italian and Barbecoa brands continue to trade overseas despite closing their UK outlets in 2019.

WhiteSpace Partners helped set up the partnership with BMB Gruppe and is searching for new franchise partners for JOR within Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, the Nordic countries and other European territories.

Ed Loftus, restaurant group director at JOR, said: "I look forward to rolling out our Jamie Oliver Restaurant brands across the Berlin and Brandenberg region with them, with the first location being the Jamie Oliver Kitchen concept. The future is looking bright for further growth across Europe, too."

JOR exited its franchise agreements in Russia following the start of the country's invasion of Ukraine last year.
