New Gordon Ramsay TV programme lures chefs with £100,000 prize
The search is on for chefs and home cooks to take part in a new ITV cookery programme fronted by Gordon Ramsay, where a cash prize of £100,000 will be up for grabs.
Billed as "the toughest and most epic cooking contest on TV", Next Level Chef will be set within three kitchens located across a 50ft high, three-storey studio.
The eight-part series will test the contestant's creativity and expertise across three environments: the basement, where they will cook with minimal ingredients and left-over scraps; the middle kitchen, featuring good-quality ingredients and equipment; and the top floor kitchen where every gadget and the finest ingredients will be available.
Ramsay will be joined by two yet-to-be-named judges, described as among "the elite names in food", to decide who will be eliminated from the competition.
The winner will receive a one-year mentorship from the three judges, alongside £100,000 cash.
Ramsay described Next Level Chef as "epic" on every level. "From the size of the enormous structure to every challenge, every moment of jeopardy is huge," he said.
Next Level Chef was first screened in January 2022 in the United States, where it has been commissioned by Fox for a second series. In the UK, the programme, produced by Studio Ramsay Global, will be screened on ITV and ITVX.
