Eugène Staal appointed global president of Pentahotels
Pentahotels, the German hotel group owned by the Rosewood Hotel Group, has announced the appointment of Eugène Staal as its global president.
Based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, Staal will be overseeing the global operations and developments of the brand from next month.
Sonia Cheng, chief executive of Rosewood Hotel Group, said: "Throughout his career, Eugène has demonstrated a talent for entrepreneurial leadership, strong belief in a company's culture as a brand, and active pioneer in having associates acting as entrepreneurs to represent of the brand ethos. This vision perfectly aligns with Pentahotels' culture."
Staal joins Pentahotels as it plans for substantial growth and expansion over the next few years, with a recently opened second property in Hong Kong, and plans to open in Moscow and Bangkok. Pentahotels has 28 hotels across seven countries, including six in the UK in Birmingham, Derby, Inverness, Ipswich, Reading and Warrington.
