Daniel Scott named executive chef at 20 Stories
Daniel Scott has been named executive chef at D&D London's 20 Stories restaurant in Manchester.
Scott, who replaces Mike Jennings in the role, has worked in hospitality for over 24 years.
In 2019 he was asked by Tom Kerridge to open the Stock Exchange hotel and Bull & Bear restaurant in Manchester as executive chef.
And in 2020 Scott joined Mana, Manchester's only Michelin-starred restaurant, where he worked with UK suppliers to source top quality produce.
At 20 Stories he will oversee the launch of a new menu, that will include seared pigeon breast, confit game croquette, beetroot and horseradish; spiced monkfish loin, puy lentils, Cavelo Nero, preserved lemon with red wine sauce; and Ras El Hanout cauliflower steak, romesco, shallot, parsley and caper.
Scott said: "I have always been passionate about cooking and Manchester, which is developing a really exciting food scene at pace unlike any other city in the UK is the perfect place for me to continue building my career."
20 Stories launched in March 2018 with Aiden Byrne as chef director, however Byrne left the restaurant eight months after its launch to return to Restaurant MCR, formerly Manchester House, which is now closed.
