Crown Partnership announces ambitious expansion plans to increase turnover by 50%

Crown Partnership, the catering, hospitality, retail and events group, has announced ambitious expansion plans to increase turnover by 50% in 2020 and employ 300 more staff.

Its recent acquisition, the BIRD chicken and waffles brand, is now out of administration and has opened a new site in Brixton's Electric Avenue. There are plans to open three new sites next year and another four in 2021.

It has also expanded its workplace caterer, Dayer's, by eight sites this year.

Crown Partnership is also in the process of completing the acquisition of a food service delivery company, which it plans to invest £5m in over the next three years. It plans to acquire more food-led companies that it can expand and grow.

The group foresees increases to the National Minimum Wage, staff shortages because of regulations and sustainability efforts will add to its costs, but will hope to see this offset by a forecast 50% increase in turnover across all partner businesses.

Charles Beer, senior partner, said: "I am proud that after four decades, the partnership is still an active player in an ever expanding and competitive marketplace. Looking ahead next year I believe that turnover can increase by 50% and that 2020 will be the best year that the partnership has seen for forty years."

The Crown Partnership was founded in 1980. It wholly owns, Seasoned, Kudos, Dayer's, Bird Restaurants, The Event Hire Company and Piggotts.
