Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels welcomes first associated hotel
The Taypark House hotel in Dundee has become the first associated hotel to join the Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels.
It will be operated by Glenn Roach and his business partner William Salve.
The Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels will primarily support the hotel's sales and marketing, marking the first partnership of its kind for the group, with more expected to follow.
The 10-bedroom boutique hotel, which dates to 1863, is set to reopen in the next few weeks, government restrictions permitting. Roach and Salve hope to establish the hotel's reputation as the ultimate luxury boutique hotel in Dundee and put its restaurant on the map.
Roach previously worked as head chef of the three-AA-rosette Rocca restaurant at the Macdonald Rusacks hotel in St Andrews, as well as being the regional executive chef for the group, and will run the Taypark as both executive head chef and general manager.
William Salve also previously worked at the Rusacks as interim manager, and hotel operations manager at the Crowne Plaza Edinburgh – Royal Terrace. He will be leading the front of house team.
Roach said: "It was the obvious next step in my career, and I believe we can learn a lot from the team at Crieff Hydro, so we are incredibly excited to see where this journey takes us. We have the opportunity to do something extra special to cement its position and reputation here in Dundee."
Stephen Leckie, chief executive of the Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, said: "We are delighted to welcome Taypark House hotel as our first associated hotel with more in the pipeline. We will support Glenn and William with sales and marketing assistance for both the accommodation and the restaurant at this stunning luxury boutique hotel as he establishes himself in the new role."
The Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels owns or manages seven hotels across Scotland: the Isles of Glencoe, Ballachulish in Lochaber, Kingshouse in Glencoe, Crieff Hydro in Perthshire, Peebles Hydro, Murraypark hotel in Perthshire and the Park near Peebles.
