Countrywide takes on 10-strong Midlands portfolio
Countrywide Hotels has taken over the management of 10 hotels in the Midlands, including Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham in Lincolnshire.
As well as the Grade II-listed, 96-bedroom Stoke Rochford Hall (pictured), the portfolio includes:
- Risley Hall, Derbyshire
- Ramada Park Hall, Wolverhampton
- The Quorn Country hotel, Leicestershire
- Mercure Birmingham North Barons
- Mercure Chester North Woodhey, Cheshire
- Mercure Telford Madeley Court, Shropshire
- Mercure Warwick Honiley Court, Warwickshire
- Mercure Wigan Oak, Greater Manchester
- Mercure Wolverhampton Goldthorn
The properties will fall under the Countrywide Hotels umbrella as independent hotels with Countrywide, which already manages 15 properties, planning to reposition the hotels and bring them in line with its existing properties. Most of the hotels are understood to be owned by Talash Hotels.
Darren Patt, managing director and founder of the hotel management and consultancy, said: "We are delighted to be working with the owners, and taking on the management of this group of hotels. The collection of properties gives Countrywide Hotels a strong presence in the Midlands. During a period of uncertainty, many good people are unfortunately losing their jobs. I am pleased that we continue to grow and create new roles at Countrywide for our industry colleagues."
