Irish restaurant group Coqbull to open in former Jamie's Italian site

Irish restaurant group Coqbull looks to be opening its first permanent London location in the former Jamie's Italian site near Piccadilly Circus.

CDG Leisure, which acted on the deal, said on Instagram the restaurant will offer "burgers, chicken wings, pizzas" and more when it opens in November.

Coqbull was founded in Cork in 2013 and has since opened two further sites in Limerick.

It has been serving its chicken and burgers at a London residency at the Lock Tavern in Camden since earlier this year.

Jamie's Italian in Piccadilly Circus closed in 2019 with the collapse of Jamie Oliver's wider UK restaurant empire.
