Christopher Perone promoted to general manager at NoMad London
Christopher Perone, previously food and beverage director, has been promoted to general manager of the NoMad London hotel in Covent Garden.
He replaces Kate Hart, who oversaw the opening of the hotel in 2021 and departed the role in January. She is currently studying at the Inchbald School of Design.
Perone is a New Yorker who helped launch the original NoMad NYC in 2012. He was a general manager on Nantucket Island prior to relocating to Dublin to study for an MBA at Trinity College.
He arrived in the UK in 2019 to develop and launch Davies and Brook at Claridge's after his time at Eleven Madison Park in New York.
He said: "NoMad has played a key role in my career, serving as a source of inspiration in all I've done. Now, in London, we're looking forward to new chapters honouring NoMad's roots. Since inception, we have aimed to provide a holistic hospitality experience embracing food and beverage and rooms where one informs the other. I couldn't feel more grateful to be working alongside the calibre of leaders NoMad has produced, both past and present."
The 91-bedroom hotel is managed by Sydell Group on behalf of its owner, Business Trading Company (BTC), an investment company specialising in the hospitality sector, with Soho Coffee Company, Apostrophe and Euphorium among its portfolio.
It was the second foray into the London hotel market for Andrew Zobler's Sydell Group, having partnered with Soho House & Co in launching the Ned in the City.
