Caviar & Chips takes on second Midlands pub
Catering company Caviar & Chips has taken on a second Midlands pub in partnership with Everards Brewery, relaunching the former Racehorse pub in Warwick as No 34 Garden & Grill last week.
The catering company also operates the Virgins & Castle, the oldest pub in Kenilworth, which it relaunched on Friday 13 March 2020 – only to be closed one week later due to pandemic restrictions.
"We've worked very closely with Everards over the last two years through the ups and downs of hospitality, and now the pub is going from strength to strength in Kenilworth. We were speaking to Everards about this incredible site in Warwick, just opposite Warwick Castle, and have created this new concept," Caviar & Chips co-owner Jonathan Carter-Morris told The Caterer.
He described the venue, located at No 34 Stratford Road, as a "relaxed, botanical dining destination" with 50% of menu cooked on the grill, a celebration of British farming and fishing, and the other 50% ‘garden-based', made up of plant-based vegan and vegetarian dishes.
The 110-120-cover pub officially relaunched on Thursday 3 March and the group has refurbished the site to give it a new interior design after the previous licensee left in September 2021.
Caviar & Chips co-founders Jonathan Carter-Morris and Marc Hornby have been running the company since 2017.
