Cavan Bakery announces new partnership with The Lensbury after tripling its production facility
Family-run London bakery Cavan has announced it is supplying its baked goods to luxury Surrey resort The Lensbury after the bakery expanded its production facility earlier this year.
The new partnership with the Lensbury Riverside Resort in Teddington will see Cavan Bakery provide its produce, including breads and pastries, to The Lensbury Club's lounge restaurant and terrace bar.
The partnership marks a key moment for Cavan Bakery, following investment from Lloyds early in 2023. This investment allowed them to expand their production facility which they opened in April this year.
At 15,000sq ft, the new purpose-built baking facility in Walton, Surrey, is almost three times larger than its previous 5,200sq ft space. The move has enabled Cavan, which was set up in 1929 and now has 13 stores in and around London, to increase capacity to store ingredients and boost production.
The bakery makes more than 80,000 products a week which are supplied into its shops and cafés as well as wholesale to local businesses.
Speaking on the recent partnership with the resort, CEO of Cavan Bakery, Jeff Greenall, said the Lensbury's ethos has "synergy with our own core values" and he is "proud to be able to bring our delicious baked goods to their audience".
He added he expects revenue to increase between 5%-10% in the business-to-business turnover.
Lukasz Stawick, operations director at The Lensbury Club, said: "We are big fans of both the Cavan Bakery team and the products they create. As a local business with their bakeries essentially on our doorstep, it made perfect sense to us to strike up this partnership.
"We're thrilled to be working with Cavan Bakery as we continue to source and support local businesses. We believe their baked goods will be the perfect addition to our deli and we are excited for our guests to try them."
