Carlton Tower Jumeirah reopens following £100m refurbishment

The Carlton Tower Jumeirah in London's Knightsbridge has reopened its doors following an 18-month, £100m refurbishment.

The property, which was originally anticipated to reopen last year, has undergone the most extensive transformation in its history, creating a new foyer and reception, redesigning all bedrooms and suites (the count of which has been reduced from 216 to 186 to offer larger accommodation), the health club and spa, restaurant, the lobby bar and lounge, ballroom and meeting rooms.

Aaron Kaupp, regional vice-president Northern Europe and general manager of the Carlton Tower Jumeirah, said: "We are thrilled to welcome back our valued guests following a significant investment and a complete renovation of the hotel, with new rooms, restaurant offerings, spa and lobby entrance. This landmark opening is set against the backdrop of a pandemic, which has seen the world and our beloved industry face extreme difficulty. The Carlton Tower Jumeirah will be a beacon of hope during a very difficult time for us all. We will once more be the place to be seen, a cornerstone for the local London community, as well as a leader of luxury hospitality in the world."

Jumeirah Group, a member of Dubai Holding, operates a global portfolio of 23 properties across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, also including the Lowndes hotel and Grosvenor House Suites in London.
