Britvic announces new chief procurement officer

Drinks supplier Britvic has announced the appointment of Matt Swindall to the role of chief procurement officer.

Swindall has more than 20 years' experience working for Coca-Cola, both in Europe and the US, holding a series of roles in both procurement and supply chain operations. Most recently, he led Coca-Cola's global procurement for plastics packaging and sweeteners.

Steve Potts, chief information, transformation and digital officer, said: "I am delighted to welcome Matt to Britvic. His wealth of industry experience makes him perfectly suited to lead Britvic's international procurement function.

"Through Matt's leadership, we will continue to establish a sustainable, fair and robust approach to procurement that delivers value for our suppliers, helps us to grow our business, and realise our vision to be the most dynamic soft drinks company, creating a better tomorrow."

Swindall, added: "As a company, Britvic has an incredible 175-year history, is recognised by our consumers for its rich portfolio of brands and has truly ambitious plans.

"I was hugely impressed by the passion of the company's experienced, diverse leadership team and the value they see in an integrated procurement organisation.

"The chance to lead the procurement team, focus our people development around core ‘best in class' practices, and play a significant role in contributing to the company's ambitions represents an incredible opportunity."
