Bidfood's Christmas Gift campaign is back
Bidfood's Christmas Gift campaign is back for a third year, rewarding hospitality staff who sacrifice spending Christmas with their families to help others.
With data showing that 93.4% of hospitality workers accept there is a chance they will need to work over the festive period, Bidfood is providing these workers with a special gift to enjoy post-Christmas.
Each winner will enjoy dinner at a restaurant of their choosing with their family, and a surprise gift once the busy period has passed.
Bidfood is calling on the industry to nominate dedicated individuals in their outlets who will either work on Christmas Day or Boxing Day this year (and/or worked last year), who consistently go above and beyond to make Christmas time special for thousands of others.
The winners will be judged and selected by a panel of leading industry influencers – including Bidfood's group sales and marketing director, Andy Kemp; Anne Pierce, chief executive at Springboard; the COO at UK Hospitality, Jackie Marlow; Lindsay Boswell, chief executive at FareShare; Jeremy Gibson, marketing director at Hospitality Action; and Andy Jones, chair of the PS100 to name a few.
Four winners, one from each of the following categories, will be revealed on Monday 2 December:
• Accommodation: hotels, B&Bs, hostels, pubs with accommodation, etc • Care: hospitals, care homes, hospices, etc • Foodie outlets: restaurants, pubs, cafes, bars, etc (includes QSR and B&I) • Charities/other: includes all charities supporting the needy by giving them a place to stay and food and schools/universities
Kemp said: "I'm delighted to announce the return of our award-winning Christmas Gift campaign. Not only does this campaign reflect the hard work, dedication and importance of our industry over the Christmas period, but it highlights some truly heart-warming stories.
