Bennett Hay wins National Gallery workplace catering contract

Hospitality services company Bennett Hay has won a four-year contract with the National Gallery in London to provide workplace catering for its 650 employees and contractors.

The contract win, of an undisclosed value, followed the recent completion of a purpose-built, six-floor accommodation hub for National Gallery employees designed to provide a modern, flexible workspace.

The café will offer hot drinks, grab-and-go selections, cakes, breakfast, main meals, soups, salads and a range of sandwiches and snacks.

The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square was founded in 1842 and houses works by artists including Caravaggio, Cézanne, Constable, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Rubens and Titian.

Charlotte Newton, business services manager at the National Gallery, said: "Bennett Hay grasped our values and vision and we've cemented an excellent collaboration for our workplace hospitality. They were innovative in terms of menus and diversity of catering offering, tech savvy and, most of all, have far reaching sustainability goals and measurement. Everyone at the gallery is looking forward to the new dedicated workplace and to having a focal point for food, drink and social interaction."
