Beef & Brew closes original site
London steak brand Beef & Brew has closed its original and last site in Kentish Town after four years of operation.
A post on the brand's website said: "It is with great sadness that we have taken the decision to sell our premises and business. We would like to thank all our customers for their support over the years and we are sorry that we will no longer be here to feed you.
"We set up Beef & Brew in 2015 and worked ourselves to the nub opening the doors. We cannot claim that we got everything right all the time, but we are very proud of what we did achieve and of all the many happy customers we served along the way. To our team past and present and of course our customers, we owe you a lifelong thank you.
"We hope that the new occupants of 323 Kentish Town Road enjoy the journey. We hope that you enjoy their food."
Jessica Simmons and Daniel Nathan opened the venue, offering "quality and affordable steak in a casual environment", in 2015. After successfully crowdfunding £250,000, they expanded into a second site in Haggerston last year, and had hoped to open a third.
However, the Haggerston site is understood to have closed earlier this year and been relaunched as the Duke of York pub under the operation of Barworks.
