Avian-inspired design revealed at the Bird hotel in Bath
Ian and Christa Taylor's Kaleidoscope Collection has revealed the transformation of newly named boutique Bath hotel the Bird following a major renovation project.
The city centre property was bought by the hotel group in March 2018 when it operated as the 22-bedroom County Hotel Bath.
It has since been transformed to incorporate 31-individually designed bedrooms as well as event spaces for business meetings, parties and seasonal pop-up bars. Avian-inspired design throughout the operation takes its cue from the hotel's new name.
The purchase of the County Hotel Bath was said to be of a wider aim to grow the company's portfolio through acquisition following the group's sale of the Abbey hotel in Bath in February 2018.
Kaleidoscope went on to buy the four-silver-AA-star, 21-bedroom Homewood Park Hotel & Spa from Longleat Group Hotels in August of the same year. The third property in the group is No.15 Great Pulteney.
Owner Ian Taylor said: "Christa and I have always had a great passion for hotels and creating something that's fun, eclectic and different for Bath, while ensuring luxury, comfort and the best possible service on every level, is what we love to do.
"We're delighted with the transformation and finished product here at the Bird, Bath. The signage, lighting and planting gives passers-by a hint of the new look and feel, but we hope people will come and experience the hospitality of our hotel and seasonal pop-ups for themselves."
