Aqua to bring its Shiro restaurant brand to London
The Aqua restaurant group is to bring its Shiro sushi brand to the UK for the first time this month.
The opening in London's Broadgate Circle development will be the group's fifth London restaurant and its first to launch in almost 10 years.
Shiro is based in Hong Kong and is famous for its crystal sushi, which sees chefs add slivers of strongly flavoured jelly to its sushi rolls.
The London restaurant will also serve ramen and a lunchtime bento box deal targeted at busy City workers. An evening drinks menu will include sake-based cocktails and Japanese beers.
The Aqua restaurant group runs more than 25 restaurants and bars in London, New York, Miami, Beijing, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
Its London sites include Aqua Shard, Aqua Nueva, Hutong, Aqua Kyoto, and Aqua Spirit.
