Angus inn sells for more than £450,000
The Drovers Inn, a destination food and beverage business at the foot of the Angus Glens, has changed hands for more than £450,000.
The historic, cottage-style business with extensive gardens has a rural location at Memus, Forfar, but is within easy reach of the main A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road.
It offers an 18-seat lounge bar, a 10-seat locals' bar, a restaurant with an eight-seat lounge and a 26-seat main dining area, and a 15-seat conservatory restaurant.
The first floor provides a suite of three private rooms and a shower room, while an adjoining 1.2-acre paddock has planning consent for the construction of an eight-bedroom annexe with staff accommodation and a five-bedroom house for the owners.
The 1.2-acre gardens include a barbecue area and patio, summer picnic tables for al fresco dining, and a children's adventure playground.
The Edinburgh office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold for more than £450,000 to local estate owner John Dodd on behalf of David Clark and Susan. Williamson.
