Andrew Brownsword Hotels CEO Stephanie Hocking to step down

Andrew Brownsword Hotels chief executive Stephanie Hocking is set to leave the group at the end of the month.

She said: "After seven happy years working for the Andrew Brownsword Group, leading the most fabulous collection of hotels and working with our simply brilliant team of people, I feel the time is now right for me to move.

"It has been a privilege to have worked for Andrew Brownsword, who is the most inspirational entrepreneur and personality anyone could have the luck to meet. I am incredibly grateful and thankful for the immense loyalty, hard work and support my central colleagues, our hotel general managers and their teams have afforded me in the past seven years, it has been quite a journey!"

Brownsword Hotels is expected to make an announcement on her successor "in the near future".

Andrew Brownsword said: "On behalf of all of us, I thank Stephanie for her dedication and commitment to our group over the last seven years. Much has been accomplished in that time, the highlights being the development of important roles and relationships within the business and many operational advancements. For all her achievements we are very grateful and wish her a fond farewell and the best of luck for the future."

Hocking was previously operations director for Macdonald Hotels & Resorts' England properties for three years, and spent two years as operations director of Malmaison.
