Aldo Zilli to create new dishes for Italian restaurant group San Carlo's Cicchetti restaurants
Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli has teamed up with Manchester-based Italian restaurant group San Carlo to create dishes for the firm's second London venture.
San Carlo opened a Cicchetti restaurant at 215 Piccadilly Circus in July, following the success of Cicchetti on Manchester's King Street West, which launched in 2010.
The partnership will see Zilli create a selection of dishes that will appear on the menu of both restaurants.
Commenting on the announcement San Carlo Group chairman Carlo Distefano (pictured, right, with Zilli) said: "With Aldo Zilli on board, the best has just got better. Aldo is one of the most flamboyant figures on the restaurant scene. He'll be bringing his great love of Italian food to our restaurants and a lot of fun, too."
Zilli added that working with San Carlo allowed him to express his "passion and expertise" and that "Cicchetti is my favourite kind of food - lots of totally delicious small tapas-style bites.
"I plan to introduce tastes and flavours to Cicchetti from all over Italy."
