Albert's Schloss operators to launch Albert's Schenke in Liverpool
Mission Mars, which operates Albert's Schloss in Manchester, is launching its new Albert's Schenke concept in Liverpool this summer.
The group, which is also behind Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza and several pubs and nightclubs in Manchester and Liverpool, acquired the lease of the Grade II*-listed Casartelli building earlier this year for £750,000 after receiving £10m from the Business Growth Fund towards its expansion. The site was previously Hub Alehouse & Kitchen.
The sites are named after Prince Albert, the Anglo-Bavarian prince and husband of Queen Victoria, and like Albert's Schloss, Albert's Schenke will be inspired by Bavarian beer halls. Schenke means pub or tavern in German.
Albert's Schenke will have an extensive range of beers from pilsners to wheat beers and special Oktoberfest special editions, with more than 20 on tap. Local craft beers, small batches and key kegs will change daily and cocktails, magnums of Prosecco and schnapps will also be available.
The Cook Haus will serve modern interpretations of classic Alpine European dishes, including a raclette burger with Swiss cheese; Black Forest ham, egg and chips; and dishes such as schweinshaxe, kebabs, schnitzel and sausage.
