Adam Stokes sets date for launch of Birmingham pop-up restaurant

Adam Stokes has unveiled details of his forthcoming "two-year pop-up" restaurant in Birmingham, which will open in the city centre next month.

Stokes, who was previously head chef at the Michelin-starred Glenapp Castle, in Scotland, will open his eponymous Adam's restaurant on Bennett's Hill on 12 April.

The venue will be a 24-seat fine-dining restaurant serving tasting menus of modern British food. Stokes will run the restaurant together with his wife, Natasha, who will manage front of house.

Open five days a week, it will serve a five- and nine-course tasting menu, priced £45 and £75 respectively, with a three-course menu offered at lunchtime at £27. Typical dishes will include pig's trotter, bacon jam and smoked eel.

During the two-year pop-up, the Stokeses will plan a 60-seat permanent restaurant, also in Birmingham city centre.

Stokes spent five years working at Glenapp Castle on the south-west coast of Scotland, where he was awarded a star in 2011 and also held four AA rosettes. He previously spent seven years at Hambleton Hall in Rutland.
