Actor Charlie Sheen drops in on Surrey curry house

Troubled Hollywood star Charlie Sheen made an unexpected appearance at a Surrey curry house on Saturday night (18 June) when he turned up for dinner.

Sheen, 50, dined at Chak89 restaurant in Mitcham ahead of his live show with Piers Morgan yesterday (Sunday 19 June).

The actor, who is perhaps best-known for 1980s blockbusters Platoon, Wall Street and Young Guns, and US TV show Two and a Half Men in which he starred from 2003 until his contract was terminated in 2011, posed for selfies and chatted with other diners and even gatecrashed a wedding party at the venue.

Frank Khalid, owner of Chak89, said: "We are delighted to have welcomed Charlie to Chak89. He's the latest in a long line of celebrities to have dined with us, and he was extremely well received by fellow diners. Charlie even managed to inadvertently gatecrash a wedding whilst in the restaurant, but again he was a huge hit with their guests and wished the newlyweds a long and happy marriage. It was a real pleasure to have him dine with us."

The restaurant even revealed which dishes Sheen and his guests tucked into: chicken tikka, tandoori prawns, sweet and sour mushrooms, chilli mogo, lamb chops, gobi manchurian, fish tikka, Chak chicken, naans and palak chaat.

Chak89 is apparently no stranger to the world of celebrity, having previously hosted guests such as Danny Dyer, Aaron Paul, Lindsay Lohan, Emeli Sande and John Terry.
