Pachamama to open new restaurant concept at £1b Whiteleys development
Restaurant group Pachamama is to open a new concept at the £1b redevelopment of the Whiteleys department store in London's Bayswater.
Effie by Pachamama Group will take over 5,000 sq ft of space across two floors and serve a menu inspired by the Aegean coast.
It is set to open in 2024 alongside 19 retail tenants, an Everyman Cinema and Guillam Coffee House as part of an overhaul of the landmark building, which opened 130 years ago as London's first department store.
Pachamama Group launched its first two restaurants, Pachamama and Chicama, in Marylebone and Chelsea in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
The original restaurant was overseen by chef Adam Rawson, but he stepped away from the business in 2016.
While the initial openings served on Peruvian cuisine, its third site, Pachamama East in Shoreditch, focused on Asian flavours.
This was followed by the launch of Greek-inspired Zephyr in Notting Hill in 2022.
