Ceres batter mix
Ceres has developed a batter mix specifically for foodservice operators. Its Traditional Batter Mix blends three raising agents to deliver a crispy, light finish with plenty of bite and texture. Containing no artificial colours, flavouring or preservatives, this all-purpose batter works across the entire menu – from fish to halloumi, and onion rings to mushrooms.

Central Foods bao buns
Bao buns now come in baby form from Central Foods. Its two new bao bun products include a 30g KaterBake mini bao as well as a 40g Menuserve hoisin jackfruit bao (pictured). You can steam or microwave them before serving as starters, on a buffet, part of a sharing platter or tapas, or as a street food option on your menu.

Tajín
A hot chilli and lime seasoning from Mexican operator Tajín has launched in the UK. Made from spicy Mexican chilli peppers and concentrated dehydrated lime with added salt, it is a great accompaniment to many drinks and Mexican dishes. Try it on a margarita cocktail rim or sprinkled over guacamole and tortilla chips.

Panesco early morning bakes
Panesco has launched two products – oatmeal porridge bread and vegan oatmeal raisin cookies – both suitable for the early morning trade. The bread is available in fig and cranberry variants, while the plant-based cookies have a hint of cinnamon.

Garden Gourmet chicken-style options
Nestlé Professional brand Garden Gourmet has announced the upcoming launch of two products as part of its chicken-style range: Garden Gourmet Sensational Vegan Pulled Fillet and Garden Gourmet Sensational Vegan Crispy Tenders.

Pidy tulip-based pastries
Belgian pastry specialist Pidy has added tulip bases to its dessert range. The bases have a vanilla aroma that pairs well with sweet fillings such as chocolate mousse or ice-cream. They measure 5.5cm x 6.5cm and have an ambient shelf life of more than nine months.

New drinks for August 2023
Moderato wine
French 0.0% wine brand Moderato is now selling its range of wines in the UK. The still wines include a dry white with aromas of honey, a crisp rosé with bright citrus and spring fruits, and a lightly oaked red with notes of candied red berries. There is also a sparkling wine with a rounded body and a soft almond nose.

Champagne Moutard Grande Cuvée Brut
Champagne Moutard Grande Cuvée Brut is now available in the UK via wine supplier Lanchester. It is available in a range of sizes, from half-bottle through to jeroboam. A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from 20-year-old vines, this bright Champagne offers black cherry and pink grapefruit notes.

Lecap low-alcohol wine
Lecap is launching into the UK market with a 5% ABV South African rosé. Made with cold-pressed Merlot grapes grown in the foothills of the Paardeberg Mountain in the Western Cape, the rosé maintains a full flavour with half the typical alcohol content.

Double Dutch Elderflower Tonic Water
Double Dutch has added to its range of 14 tonics and mixers with an Elderflower Tonic Water. The tonic water has a fragrant and fruity finish and can be paired with floral gins, vodka, prosecco and Champagne, or served as a refreshing soft drink.

Pujadas cocktail trolley

Ice-O-Matic Grande Cube Machine
The Grande Cube Machine produces Ice-O-Matic's largest ever ice cube, measuring 31mm(w) x 29mm(d) x 22mm(h). The machine has SafeIce technology, which forms a layer of sterile air over the ice bin, destroying contaminants such as coronavirus and flu. The cubes melt at a slower rate than smaller cubes, resulting in slower dilution of drinks, making them suitable for single pour drinks such as whiskey or brandy.
