First Look: inside the New York-inspired bedrooms at Hotel Brooklyn Leicester
Bespoke Hotels is opening its Hotel Brooklyn brand in Leicester in June, two years after launching in Manchester.
The 191-room hotel is located adjacent to the Welford Road Stadium, home of the Leicester Tigers rugby team.
Room rates start from £90 for a Club Room on a bed and breakfast basis.
As in the Manchester property its design has been inspired by the New York borough with which the hotel shares its name, with SquidInc overseeing interiors and features from accessible design firm Motionspot.
Public areas will be larger than in the Manchester hotel and include the Lair, an open-plan bar, and 120-cover restaurant and working space. The Grandstand area will allow guests to watch films or live sport, surrounded by comfy sodas and patterned armchairs.
There are also several skyline suites, rooms with hot tub terraces, executive suites with free-standing baths and dog-friendly rooms.
Bedrooms are inspired by Brooklyn's loft spaces, and all include a feature wall inspired by graphic artist M.C Escher, while beds are upholstered in burgundy leather.
Ten of the rooms will be fully accessible for those with disabilities, with adjoining rooms for carers and bathrooms with grab rails and shower seats.
There will also be back-of-house accessible changing and shower facilities to support staff. "The opening of Hotel Brooklyn, Leicester is probably more exciting than opening our first hotel in Manchester'," said Paul Baylisss MBE, regional general manager of the Hotel Brooklyn brand at Bespoke Hotels.
''The hotel has all of what the Brooklyn brand stands for, plus a magnificent array of public spaces. I'm certain Leicester will be very pleased indeed".
The Manchester Hotel Brooklyn won the Accessibility Award at the 2021 Cateys and reported strong demand for its accessible bedrooms.
